Winter Wonderland

Dear Family and Friends,

As I write this blog I am looking out my window at the snow covered trees surrounding my building. It is also 19 degrees Fahrenheit outside. So excited! I woke up early to go to church, when I looked out my window and saw the snow. Sadly I was not able to go to church today, I do not even know if they had mass at all. The streets are covered in snow and ice (Really! I slipped and fell) and cars are completely covered in snow. The insane people who are driving on the roads are getting stuck on the streets because their windshields keep icing over. Hahaha! Everything is just so lovely. Since I woke up early I was able to take lots of photos without people in the background. Words cannot describe how beautiful everything looks covered in fresh snow.   I took so many pictures of my school, the park next door, and downtown Blackrock Village. Ireland does not own a snow plow. They sold it to another country two years ago because they had it for so many years and never needed it.  Well guess what?? They need it now! I actually saw people using crow bars and such to break-up the ice in front of their shops and brooms to brush all the snow away. So funny! I doubt anything will be open today which is fine for me since I have so much studying to get done. And just think!! We are supposed to get more snow tonight!! I am in heaven!!

Love Always,
Amanda
